ill seen ill said

MA exhibition: work-in-progress

‘’Dread of black. Of white. Of void. Let her vanish. And the rest. For good. And the sun. Last rays. And the moon. And Venus. Nothing left but black sky. White earth. Or inversely.’

A bodily approach to Ill seen Ill said by Samuel Beckett involved a Butoh performance interacting with paint. This was the starting point of a film and speculative installation at The Wapping Project, exploring the space between the real and the imaginative, existence and vanishing, landscape and ephemeral body.

The visitors were invited to dip a sugar cube in the paint and contribute to the constantly evolving landscape.
